Background: History!

Personality:
Bobby will always have a part of him that aspires to be the class clown, the jokester, the guy good for a quick laugh or a stupid joke. If you didn’t know he was a mutant, he could easily pass as your stereotypical all-American boy from a middle class family who grows up to be an accountant, an all-around funny guy too. He’s got an earnestness that resembles the ideal of the all-American boy. And he’s got some of its flaws too, as a guy who isn’t very good at subtlety or smooth tactfulness. Bobby is the everyday guy’s guy--likable enough as long as you can tolerate his immature attitude and smart mouth. He will never stop ribbing on you.

As the youngest of the original X-Men, Bobby is somewhat spoiled and self-centered. He likes being the center of attention and in any tense situation, he’s usually the guy who always tries for a lighter mood. He has a strong moral center, he always roots for the underdog and is the guy who will stand up to bullies, ever confident that he’ll find a way out of a tricky situation. He is protective of the people he cares about.  Bobby is pretty soft-hearted and is a guy who easily falls into relationships, happy when he feels like he's connected to another person.  This also makes him prone to being easily blind to faults however and he may sometimes place people on pedestals.  But that's part of Bobby's openness with his heart.  He is a loyal friend and a dedicated team member.

The past few years of tragedy and darkness for the X-Men have hardened Bobby a little, you can actually see moments of seriousness on his face. But he’s still got that soft mushy heart and is one of the nicest people you can ever call a friend.

Abilities:
- Bobby is known as an Omega level mutant.  While there's no known official description of this rank from the canon, this rank is known to denote a mutant with a very high level of power and ability.  He's on the extreme end of power, pretty powerful mutant.
- Bobby's mutant power is thermo- and cryokinesis. He has the ability to manipulate water and ice to very cold temperatures and can also do this to his body. He can collect water/moisture from any living form or the air itself, being able to regenerate himself just from vapor should his ice form ever shatter. This power includes thermal vision. He is well trained in using his power to generate ice objects like ice slides, ice blades or funny statues of Namor to make fun of him.
- Being a carrier of the X-gene, he doesn't age normally and his metabolism is very high just to maintain his level of power.  So yes, he can eat a lot of food.
- Pulls off pranks pretty well, likes to make jokes and knows most of the cheesy ones.

Writing sample:
When he started counting the second hand on his clock, Bobby finally realized that he wasn't going to be getting any more sleep. He heaved a sigh and stared at his ceiling a moment longer before rolling up and onto his feet. The sky was still dark outside his window. Bobby absently grabbed his hat on the way out of his room. As the door swung closed, the clock had turned to 4 AM.

The hallways were quiet and shadowy as Bobby padded downstairs. He made a quick sweep of the system controls for water before going into the kitchen. No one was around to notice him grab a leftover slice of pizza and some fruit. He quietly let himself out and walked down toward the beach. He wasn’t sure if he was looking for something or needed to get away from the complex but maybe he would find some peace and quiet there. It’d be better than watching the minutes pass by. Again.

Bobby barely noticed that the sand underneath him cooled as he walked and took on his ice form. Getting to a spot close to the waves, he dropped onto the sand and just listened. There would be something else later in the morning. Another threat, another job, another emergency that needed the X-Men. He’d get through the senior team member meeting, follow his routine and maybe pick on some of the kids or grab a game before making sure the water was safe for everyone on Utopia. And hopefully he’d be tired enough to drop off to sleep. Like he tried to do with his routine everyday.

He didn’t sleep much anymore.
